Some Useful Hair Tips From Salon
Ritz...
Don't shampoo your hair every day.
Allow the natural oils to condition your scalp and hair.
Choose your hair brush carefully.
Natural bristles are not for all types of hair.
If you blow-dry your hair, the right sized brush (and shape) will simplify your
job.
If you color your hair, use a shampoo that is designed for color-treated hair.
If you have temporary color on your hair, the frequency of shampooing and the
kind of shampoo you use will affect the color.
Use a conditioner only if your hair needs it.
There are several "strengths" available depending on how much
conditioning and moisturizing your hair needs. If you have "thin"
and/or "limp" hair, condition the ends of your hair only.
This way, the conditioner won't weigh your hair down.
If you color your hair, the bottom line is - avoid prolonged exposure to direct
sunlight.
In other words, wear a hat!
Sun, chlorine, and salt water all spell oxidation.
One way to minimize this is to apply a leave-in conditioner on your hair.
But not all conditioners are created equal. Check the ingredients.
After your hair has been "chlorinated" and/or "salt
watered," use a special shampoo that removes the build-up.
This is also true for after you've worked out. The salt from your perspiration
can affect hair color.
